We create, publish and market a suite of medical software applications  (collectively referred to as “Apps”) for educational and/or informational purposes, including but not limited to PocketAnatomy.com and Anatomus.com.

This Privacy Statement describes the information we from time to time collect in order to provide you with the best possible service and our intended use of that information. We fully respect your right to privacy and will not collect any personal information about you without your permission. Any personal information which you volunteer to us will be treated securely and confidentially and in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

By viewing or using the website www.pocketanatomy.com and/or www.Anatomus.com (“Website”), and/or by downloading, installing and/or using any of our Apps, you accept and agree to all of the provisions of this Privacy Statement.

  1. Data Collection

1.1. Personal Data: For the purposes of providing the services and processing your queries, orders and other information requests, eMedia will require and collect details from you such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, IP Address and other contact and billing details.

1.2. Sensitive Personal Data: If you subscribe to, download, install and/or use any of the Apps to help you to monitor, diarize and/or record information relating to your health and/or the health of your patients, this data will be uploaded, encrypted, and stored by you on the secure servers of our partners.

2.1. General: The personal information you provide to us will be used for the following purposes only and to the extent necessary:
(a) to provide the service(s) or carry out the transaction(s) you have requested or authorized;
(b) to contact you in connection with your order or contract for services;

2.2. Statistical and Analytical Information: Like most websites, we gather statistical and other analytical information on an aggregate basis in relation to all users of our Apps and visitors to our Website. This sort of information will not personally identify you and is usually only shared in aggregate form.

System Entries: The medical information and/or material relating to your personal health and medical history that you may, at your discretion, enter from time to time on to any of our Apps is your sensitive personal data. You decide which of your sensitive personal data to enter and you are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the sensitive personal data you enter on to such Apps. Your account on the Apps may be password protected and encrypted, depending on the  Apps [and the account options selected by you]. We will not use your sensitive personal data for any purpose other than and to the extent necessary to make the requested Apps and/or the requested services relating to such Apps available to you.

Secure Servers: We take our security responsibilities seriously and will employ (and will procure that any hosting service provider engaged by us will employ) all appropriate technical measures to ensure the information you provide to us is kept on secure servers. The Apps and your personal information, including your sensitive personal data, are stored on servers hosted by an external service provider currently located in European Economic Area (“EEA”).

Disclaimer: Notwithstanding our commitment to protect your personal information, the Internet by its nature is such that no information transmitted over the Internet can be guaranteed as entirely secure. eMedia makes no representations or warranties of any kind as to the security of any information transmitted to or by us over the Internet.

3.3. Permitted Transfers:

(a) Outside the EEA. It may be necessary to transfer your personal information to other group companies or service providers located outside the EEA. (The EEA currently comprises all European Union member states plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.) Such a transfer may happen where our servers or suppliers and service providers are based outside the EEA or where you use our services and products while in or visiting countries outside the EEA. The data protection and other laws of these countries may not be as comprehensive as those in Ireland or in the EU – in these instances we will take steps to ensure your privacy rights are respected.
